Bee My Valentine Hidden Message

Today’s card combines the Bee My Valentine and Hooray for Surprises Bundles. What a perfect pair!

The card starts with an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Thick Basic White card base, scored at 4 1/4″. Next, a piece of copy paper and a piece of the Bee Mine DSP were both cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″, stacked together and the long die (that looks like a caterpillar) was placed a bit below center and die cut.

The copy paper (pink) was used as a mask to position the hidden message.

After removing the mask, the DSP is adhered to the card front, being careful to avoid getting adhesive on the die cut strip.

The flower (from the Hooray for Surprises) is stamped in Lemon Lolly and die cut. The bee (from the Bee My Valentine Bundle) is stamped and punched. Stamping is all done on Basic White paper. The wings are colored with a Blending Brush and Petal Pink ink. The bee is adhered to only the flower and the flower is adhered to the pull strip with a dimensional. The pull tab is die cut from a scrap of basic white and the end, plus one bump (or segment of the caterpillar) are snipped off and adhered to the bottom of the flower.

The greeting heart is die cut with the Hooray for Surprises die, stamped with a greeting from the Bee My Valentine stamp set and colored with Sweet Sorbet ink and a Blending Brush. A Sweet Sorbet bow is added to the corner with a glue dot.

The inside combines a greeting from the Hooray for Surprises set and a fun bee trail from the Bee My Valentine set, with some pretty border strips.
