Welcome Inn

After a busy day of lawn mowing (back in a face mask because of the bad air quality), I’ve spent a bit of time working on my Paper Pumpkin kit. Although most of the time I prefer to start from scratch on my cards, at the end of a day like today, precut pieces sure are nice.

I think that this is my favorite design in this kit. I love the raised frame. There was an extra inner piece but not any extra frames (darn!). Below is my version after original three cards from the kit were complete.

For the card base, Calypso Coral was used and the large floral stamp was inked with Calypso Coral ink. The single flower was stamped with Craft White ink. The greeting was stamped on a piece of Basic White with Night of Navy ink and trimmed close. A Calypso Coral banner was placed under it. I pawed through my retired embellishment stash and was lucky to find some Night of Navy hearts to complete the card.

To add a little shine to the flower pot, Wink of Stella was brushed over the entire piece. Both the pot and the greeting are popped up with dimensionals.
