Today I’m playing with a borrowed stamp set, the cute Bird’s Eye View. I spent a really busy weekend designing cards for my upcoming Camp & Stamp Event.

My big stack of books is actually created by stamping the book image 3 times and using a mask created by stamping the image onto a post it note and cutting it out. I started stamping the books at the top of the pile and worked down.
This little guy is the third attempt to find a color combination that I liked! I started out with a natural color bird.

I tried using a combination of 3 different Naturals Stampin’ Blends.

Then I tried one done with Moody Mauve, Highland Heather and Bubble Bath. But, I changed my directions and decided that I needed a more colorful bird.

The Lemon Lolly, Azure Blue, and Poppy Parade colored bird was the winner.
Here are the paper dimensions:
- Granny Apple Green Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Tahitian Tide 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
- Basic White 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″
I cut the tip of the diamond off so that the bird’s feet would rest on the book pile.
After I finished this card I thought that this set would make an awesome book mark!
Hope you have a great week!
