This card came together while I was doing a video. Usually, I plan out a card and them make a second card while doing a video but today I was going rouge. I knew that I wanted to use circle punches with the Bird’s Eye View stamp set.
The greeting is from the Sweetest Song Bird stamp set and is a great match up for the Bird’s Eye View set. The base is Wild Wheat and the striped patterned paper is also Wild Wheat from the 2023-2025 In color Designer Series Paper pack.
The bird family is colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. Momma bird is Poppy Parade, Wild Wheat and Azure Afternoon. Pappa Bird is Azure Afternoon, while baby bird is done in Lemon Lolly.
I’ve used several circle punches, starting with the new 2 3/8 which can be purchased separately or as a bundle with the Circle Sayings stamp set for a 10% savings. I’ve also pulled in some retired punches 2 1/4″, 2″, 1 3/4″, and 1 1/2″ as well as a couple circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I love having a full range of circle punch sizes to play with.
For the inside of the card, I used more greeting from the Sweetest Song Bird and a big brother bird and branch from the Bird’s Eye View set.
I was feeling a bit like a Cuckcoo Bird when making the video tutorial for this card. I’ve been having a rough week! Three new crowns (all replacements, only one covered under warranty). My monthly Creative Cards Class and getting ready for my overnight Camping & Stamping Event have got me a bit stressed. Thank goodness god has shared some rain with us here so that I didn’t have to water my gardens!
