Crafting with Friends

This past weekend I hosted a Camping & Stamping Event at my cabin in central Minnesota. On Friday night we did a boat cruise around the lake complements of my son Nick. Saturday we spent the day stamping.

Our cabin is very tiny with just one room and a bathroom. It started life as a small garage. It makes a great gathering place for our family and friends.

For the event we did 11 cards designed using 5 different stamp/die bundles that I’ll be sharing this week.

Our first cards used the So Refreshing Bundle. The little cloth die made all of us think of a magic carpet. For this card the greeting is on a banner created with the Banner Punch. The greeting is stamped with black ink but the pitcher, glasses and ice cubes are done with Smoky Slate ink.

We have some pink lemonade created with Bubble Bath ink and ice cubes which have been cut apart after die cutting and then brushed with some Wink of Stella.

The patterned paper in the background is a retired pattern in Old Olive. Everything is adhered flat except for the greeting which is popped up with dimensionals.

Our second card is a fun fold. The front of the card base has two pieces cut off. The first is cut at 1 3/4″ then another 2″ is cut off. The 2″ piece is turned and used for the tag layer while the 1 3/4″ piece is put back for the bottom of the card front.

The white layer is punched with the Elegant Edge Tag Punch and embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. The Petal Pink layer has the corners punched with the Very Best Trio Punch. Some Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to finish it off. The lemons from one of the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Papers coordinated well with our lemonade theme.

Product List Card 1 – Note: the patterned paper used on card 1 is retired but each year there are packs of patterned paper available in each of the color families with 4 different patterns. I have included links to the the current paper as well as the retired one (in case you are like me and has stacks of retired papers, lol!)
