Crafting With You

Yesterday, I shared one of the two cards using the Crafting With You Bundle that we did at the Camping & Stamping Event. I didn’t have time to do both cards yesterday because I had to take our Sweetheart (almost 2 year old Golden Retriever) to the vet. After a week or so of home remedies to clear up a yeast infection in her ear (no, I’m not a vet but I’ve owned lots of dogs), I broke down and made an appointment to get some better meds. So…$178 later and another follow up appointment scheduled, hopefully, we’re on track to get that healed. She is actually my son’s dog, but he was procrastinating about taking her in. Oh, for the old days when I would pick up the phone and tell my vet the dog had a yeast infection in it’s ear and just stop and pick up the $20 bottle of ear drops! But, I digress, on to the fun stuff!

I ended up really, really liking this card! It does combine a few extra products but darn it’s really worth it! The top part that looks like a store awning is created with two strips of paper. A Pool Party one that is 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and is embossed with one of the Basics Embossing Folders and a Lost Lagoon one that is 1″ x 4 1/4″ and the edge is die cut with a border die from the Zany Zoo Die set.

I love this embroidery hoop die! I used to do crewel and embroidery but have a really hard time seeing well enough to do it anymore. The hoop is done in Pecan Pie paper and then it’s cut a second time with Basic White to get the middle piece.

The flower stamp is all inked with Crushed Curry and stamped and an Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker was used to color the leaves. Then a Crushed Curry Marker was used to outline the petals.

The hoop is set on a 2 3/8″ square from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper Pack and there is a 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Inked Botanicals paper up the center. The greeting is embossed with Basic White Embossing Powder. To finish off some hearts are stamped along both edges using VersaMark ink. The girls added some bling to finish off their cards at camp.
