Today’s card uses the economical Circle Sayings Bundle and is combined with the Pick a Banner Punch.
The little flags can also be created by simply cutting a slot in from the center and then cutting from each corner to meet the slot, but the Pick a Banner Punch is fast and fun to use so it’s a nice addition to a punch collection! The edges of the flags are distresses and then they are crumpled before flatting enough to adhere to the card.
The sea shells are colored in with Watercolor Pencils. All of the images are from the Circle Sayings stamp set. To make the background more waterish, the shell image is stamped over the entire card base randomly with Calypso Coral ink. The pretty patterned paper is from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper Pack.

- Calypso Coral Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Inked Botanicals DSP 3″ x 5 1/2″
- Early Espresso 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
- Very Vanilla 2 3/8″ Circle
- Pecan Pie 1″ x 4″ (cut in half after creating banner ends)
- Copper Clay 3/4″ x 4″ (cut in half after creating banner ends)
- Early Espresso 1″ x 4″ (cut in half after creating banner ends and discard on half)
- Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside layer)
- Inked Botanicals DSP 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (inside layer)
The inside uses one of the scraps from cutting the 6″ x 6″ DSP. We can’t be wasting any of those little leftovers!
A single wrap of Linen Thread is tied in a knot around the card fold. The girls at camp all added some bling to their cards but I left mine plain. Be sure to watch my Circle Sayings Flags Tutorial to see this card come to life in a different color!
