Festive Circles

Today I’m having some more fun with my new favorite set of dies, the Deckled Circle Dies! I decided to do a test run of the Triple Stamping Technique using the Deckled Circle Dies and four layers to stamp on instead of three.

First, I cut out four circles of Basic White in these sizes: 1 3/8″, 2 1/8″, 2 7/8″, and 3 7/8″. Next, I cut out two Real Red circles 1 3/4″ and 3 1/4″. Then two Garden Green circles 2 1/2″ and 4 1/4″.

To stamp the giraffe, the white circles were layered on a Stamparatus (Stamp Positioner) and held down with a magnet, then the image was stamped twice to get everything sharp and dark. If I were to make another, I would position the giraffe’s head higher and add the hat as a separate fussy cut on top of his head, but when I realized that his face was going to be covered by the red circle, I already had the giraffe colored so decided to save it by trimming away a portion of the red circle so that his face would show.

The inside of the card has another piece of the Merry, Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper.

Hopefully, my attempt to use the Deckled Circle Dies with this technique will spark some ideas for you to use. I’d love to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by the Roost!
