Swap Card Friday

Today I have two beautiful cards to share made with the Darling Details Bundle.

The first card was created by my team leader Dawn Olchefske. If you follow my blog you will have heard me mention the STARS or seen the DOswts Challenges, Dawn is the leader of that group. As well as being a great team leader and coach, Dawn is also a very talented card maker. This card is a great example. The 2″ x 4 1/4″ stamped panel was probably done as a whole sheet of Basic White cardstock and then cut into strips to create a whole pile of cards.

Here is a close-up of the panel. The greeting is on a punch out from the Double Oval Punch and has a 1/2″ x 3″ strip of Glorious Gingham Designer paper layered under it. The Lemon Lime Twist ribbon gives the feeling of another leaf that landed under the punch out.

Isn’t this card drop dead gorgeous!!! I love the white space! Of course it didn’t have a name on it and I think I was going to remember who I got it from, hahahah…me remember, what was I thinking! I think that it came from Terry Rajala, another member of the DOstamperSTARS team, but was made by Dawn O. Terry was having some hand problems and wasn’t able to make swaps for an event so Dawn made some for her.

I wish that I would learn to make swap cards like these two! Both of these are great cards to easily make multiples of. For some reason I gravitate to time consuming cards, lol. I guess we all have our niche.

I hope that you are inspired by these cards.

I’m off to the cabin for the holiday weekend to spend time with family and friends. I’m bringing my bits and pieces of my next swap cards along and might even talk my grandsons into helping me assemble them.
