It’s a wonderful day here in central Minnesota! The trees are starting to turn color, the sun is shinning and I made it to yoga class!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card with a fall camping theme using the Lighting the Way stamp set and dies. Fall is my favorite time of year, and camping in the fall is awesome, especially in a heated 5th wheel.

The bottom corner of the card is folded and adhered to the inside AFTER stamping. I did score it first, measuring 2″ from the score line on the bottom and then lining up the top right corner to score. The Stampin’ Up! trimmer works great for scoring diagonals. Just make sure that you have the cutting blade out of the way, lol.

Isn’t this lantern die just AWESOME! It has all these cool score lines in it to add detail to the lantern. Behind the lantern is a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Crushed Curry (a great fall color) that has been embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder and then the edges are sponged with some Crushed Curry ink to define them.

The greeting is stamped on a Crushed Curry layer which has been die cut with one of the Nested Essentials Dies and is popped up on another Nested Essentials die cut from the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper. The greeting layer edges are also sponged with Crushed Curry ink.

Here’s a view of the inside where you can see how the fold back works. The stem and greeting are stamped in Copper Clay which is the base color of the card. The greeting is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set, one of my go-to sets for greetings. I’ve cut the Very Vanilla liner the full size of the inside of the card 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. I like to use liquid glue to adhere a big piece like this so that I can wiggle it a bit to line it up.
