Today I have two cards created for friends who recently lost furry family members. If you are a pet lover like me, your pets are family. I didn’t have any current Stampin’ Up! sets with pet sympathy themes so I climbed up on my table, to reach the retired sets on the high shelf, lol, as I get older I’m going to have to rethink that high shelf thing.

The cards use the Pampered Pets stamp set and I even had some pieces of the coordinating, Playful Pets Designer Series Paper left. I cut the animals that most closely resembled my friends pets from the paper and then cut a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strip of the DSP for the edge.

I grounded the cat with a thin strip of Basic Black paper and the dog with a little scrap of the backside of the DSP that was used along the edge.

Paper Dimensions:

• Basic White Thick base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
• Playful Pets DSP 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• Playful Pets under dog 1 1/2″ x 1″
• Black strip under cat 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
