World Card Making Day Wrap-Up

Today I’m sharing the cards from Stampin’ Up!s Online World Card Making Day event. It was a great event with lots of tips for beginners. Although the cards created during the event are not ones that fall within my card making style, it’s always fun to try something new.

This was my favorite card. I love this color combo. The presenters used the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle, which I don’t have, so I substituted the Trucking Along stamp set and Very Best Trio Punch.

For this card, I did have the Circle Saying Bundle which was used in the presentation. It’s made to the presenters directions, except that I added the stripped background layer of Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper. This card was meant to show a unique way of using the 3/8″ Circle Punch by only punching half circles.

My final card was a total failure. I tried using the Bottled Happiness stamp set and punch with the Double Ovals Punch to replicate the presenter’s card created with the Earthen Textures Bundle. It used Watercolor Paper and a watercoloring technique. This card is headed for the circular file but I thought that I would share it with to show that even someone who makes cards almost every day has a failure now and then.

Don’t Miss Out On The FREE SHIPPING!

If your mind works like mine, free shipping means that I can buy one more stamp set, lol. Hope you have a great day.
