Today’s card was created for the #DOswts421 Challenge which was to use a sponging technique to create a card. I’ve chosen to use masking and blending brushes.

My thought was to make strips of colors to match the glow from the light bulbs. I’ve used Lemon Lolly, Sweet Sorbet, and Azure Afternoon. To create the wavy edges of color, two post-it notes were torn and used as masks. Then the next color was blended up to it.

I love that the Merry & Bright Die set has multiple dies of the light bulbs and toppers.

For the inside of the card, I pulled in some scraps from the matching Merry, Bold & Bright Designer Paper. The envelope also got a light bulb to carry on the fun.

The Elegant Trim cord pulls everything together and some Iridescent Discs are scattered across the card. The cord is held in place with rolled up glue dots.
