Today I have a bunch of cards to share with you using the Festive & Fun stamp set from the holiday catalog. The Festive & Fun stamp set includes 8 rubber stamps, 5 images and 3 greetings. There are no dies or punches bundled with it but on page 13 of the Mini Catalog it does show it being used with the Tiny Christmas Tree Die as well as the Deckled Rectangle Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, and Nested Essentials Dies, whew.
I didn’t use any dies for my cards today. The critters are all colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. This was my favorite and I made a bunch of this design experimenting with different colors. I like the Lemon Lolly and Pecan Pie combo for the giraffe best, which is what this card uses. Each card also has one item that has been brushed with Wink of Stella. The shinny gold star at the top of the tree on this one.
For the other cards, each one has a bit different layout. This one has a background embossed with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders and some of the Merry, Bold, & Bright Designer Series Paper.
This one has two strips of the More Dazzle Specialty paper for some extra sparkle.
For this trio of moose I pulled in some ribbon, Joy of Christmas DSP and Merry, Bold & Bright DSP. Lately there have been moose sightings in my area. This is a bit uncommon for central Minnesota. I grew up in northern Minnesota where moose were a common site, and a hazard to keep in mind when driving.
Here’s a close up of a moose. I really liked using the Light Deep Natural Tones Stampin’ Blend item 158152 with the Light Basic Black used for shadows for coloring the moose.
For the inside of each card, strips of the matching designer paper from the front were used.
I love animals and coloring so this set is perfect for me. If you aren’t a cute critter fan, or don’t like coloring, I hope that maybe a layout or one of the pretty paper patterns gives you some inspiration.
