The sun is shinning (well off and on) and it’s amazing how much that fact has lifted my mood. I’m also happy to be sharing two really happy cards made with the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle.
Karla’s card is a cute shaped card that would also make a really sweet gift tag. The base is cut with the large die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies, that cuts out a card base in the shape of a cone. There is even a score line for folding. Next, a Pecan Pie layer was cut with the die that also embosses all the details onto the cone. The ice cream is created with 3 layers. A Calypso Coral base with the outline die, then a layer of Most Adored Specialty Designer Series paper cut with the same die. Finally a Basic White layer cut with the swirl die. Three of the Loose Daisy Embellishments finish off the card.
Dawn’s card is a fun fold, with the cone being a latch to hold the card closed. To open the card, fold the edges back slightly to pop up the center.
The beautiful subtle rainbow layer is created by adhering strips of cardstock to a white layer and then die cutting with the Dots & Spots Die. The other side of the background is embossed with the Painted Textures Embossing Folder. The greeting is layered on a Stylish Shapes Die cut circle. The ice cream is layered much like Karla’s card but has only 2 layers, a Calypso Coral background and I’m a bit puzzled by the top die cut paper layer. I think it may have been created with a watercolor wash or markers. The Yum Yum greeting is cut into two pieces and some of the yummy Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots are used for sprinkles. The Lemon Lolly Bakers Twine comes as part of a three pack with Flirty Flamingo and Balmy Blue partners.
