OnStage Day One Reflections

I was a bit nervous about flying alone from Orlando to Houston especially after all the recent airplane failures on the news but the flight went fine. Although, the seats on Spirit Airlines are smaller or my rear has gotten bigger, lol.

Being frugal, I decided to use the metro bus to get to the hotel. I’ve never ridden a city bus before and had no idea where I needed to get off. So, of course I missed the stop closest to the hotel. I got a nice mile hike in! At least it wasn’t raining or 100° out and I only spent a buck.

My roommate Diane walked up to me in the hotel as I was waiting to check in, so that worked well. Our other roommate, Colleen, found us later as we were having lunch.

This year’s bags, are a really nice backpack. They included an insulated box thing that I thought might be a lunch box, but has padded dividers in it. I’ll have to see how everyone else uses it, lol.

I missed seeing the notice about the organized swap that I signed up for in the Stamp Share for Leaders group, so missed out on that, sorry ladies. I’ll be swapping general swaps now.

10 Year Anniversary
Leadership Level One

We all like seeing our name on the recognition boards!! I know it’s sort of boring but I had to share.

The first Main Stage event had two stamping demonstrations and both demonstrators did an awesome job. If you love airplanes, watch for a new suite called Adventurous Skies, with an old fashioned airplane. The die set is super cool and the designer series paper is a must have.

The OnStage After Hours event was a little disappointing. We paid $80 to attend and were packed around a table like sardines. It didn’t help that I was exhausted by then and couldn’t sit next to my besties who had brought the paper trimmer, lol. I tried to do all the stamping and will assemble the cards later. It was nice to see and use the new in colors. Peach Pie, Summer Splash, Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, and Shy Shamrock.

Looking forward to more fun today!
