When I worked at a manufacturing company with about 30 employees, I would make holiday cards and give them to my fellow workers with a little piece of chocolate. During Covid one of my former co-workers passed away and his wife called to let me know about his funeral. She told me that when they opened his lunch box, all of the cards that I had given him were still inside it.
Wow! It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. He was a guy who always had a smile on his face. It really made me feel like my simple card making is important and touches people’s lives.
