Swap Card Friday

Happy Friday! It’s a rainy day here in Florida. I’ve been a bit lazy and I’m doing my blog post late in the day. I actually switched my schedule and did some card making first, before blogging.

I have piles of swap cards to share so I’m going to be doing 3-4 cards each Friday. They are all awesome and I want to share them with you before the products aren’t available.

This first card from Cindy Evans does use the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-bration which is retired, but it’s such an awesome card and other designer paper or some stamped cardstock could be used in place of the Trusty Toolbox so I am sharing it. It uses the Everyday Details Dies for the labels and some Cork Round Embellishments.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4′
  • First Matte Layer 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • DSP layer 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • First DSP strip 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • Second DSP stripp 3/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • DSP square 2″ x 2″
  • Rectangular Label 2 3/4″ x 1 3/8″
  • Matte Circle 2 3/8″
  • Inner Circle 1 7/8″

Kimberly’s card is fun pocket card using the Reach for the Stars Bundle. A foil spaceman rests on a Splatter Embossed moon scape. The Stargazing Designer Series Paper adds some pops of purple and two fun bookmarks were included.

The pocket is created by cutting half of the card front off from the top fold corner to the bottom outside corner and then using Tear and Tape to seal the bottom.

Square boxes for the check off list come from the Love This Moment stamp set. I think the word list is created with the Alphabest stamp set. The word WISH comes from the Hooray for Surprises stamp set. The wish list is on a 3 1/2″ x 5″ piece of Basic White with a 3 5/8″ x 5 1/8″ Lemon Lime Twist Matte to match the card base.

I love the subtle mix of colors on Sheila’s Hello card. The letters on the Hello are die cut with the Alphabet Ala Mode Dies. The pretty patterned papers are from the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper Pack.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Lemon Lolly Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Lost Lagoon 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
  • Lighter Than Air DSP 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
  • Lost Lagoon 3 7/8″ x 2 5/8″
  • Lighter Than Air DSP 3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″

The final card by Bonny uses the super fun Cutest Cows stamp test. It starts with a Pecan Pie card base and then has a large Perennial Postage Die cut. The window circles are die cut with the retired Picture This Dies. The same effect could be created using plain circle dies or circle punches. The cow is punched out with the Cow Builder Punch and the head is mounted on a wiggle pop up.

Hope you enjoyed these great cards! Here are some of the products used. If you would like to purchase them just click on the links to shop in my store.

Product List – I’ve listed the bundle where available, but the items can be purchased separately if only one part is wanted.
