Swap Card Friday

Today I have three projects to share which use some products that are going to be retiring.

This first card by Millie Taylor, uses the Color & Contour Stamp set, a long time favorite of mine. The coordinating Scalloped Contour Dies are also being retired. The Distressed Tile Embossing folder used on the background is returning in the new Annual Catalog. I really like the way Millie has lined up the corners of the matte layers with the top layer, rather than centering them. The Pool Party/Lost Lagoon color combo is very pretty, especially with the pop of Calypso Coral from the flower and greeting.

Anne Oshiro shared a quick and easy pocket card, with a belly band, and some snacks.

The Fresh Freesia base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ with scores at 1/2″ and 4 1/2″ on one side and 1/2″ on the other. The tabs are used to glue the side and bottom to create the pocket. The front corner is cut off from 2 1/2″ on the side to the fold at the top corner.

A 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of the Lighter Than Air DSP decorates (It wraps around the closure tab) the front. A Balmy Blue belly band (8 1/2″ x 1″) wraps around the entire base. A Decorative Circle Punch matte of Balmy Blue is popped up with dimensionals over the place where the belly band connects. The greeting is from the Pansy Patch stamp set (ALSO RETIRING, DARN!) and is done in Gorgeous Grape ink.

My final swap for today, is a cute little Easter Treat Pack using the Excellent Eggs Bundle from the January to April Mini. These awesome dies make some pretty fun Easter Eggs! Although there isn’t a discount on these items beyond the 10% Bundle pricing, this is a great bundle for Easter projects. The creator of this cute treat package didn’t leave here name in the pack but it sure is cute.

We have been invited to our niece’s home for Easter. I’m so glad that we will be spending it with family. Being a snow bird has some great perks but I do miss my family. My husband’s sister and two of her children now live in Florida full time so it’s fun to see them while we are here.

I hope that you have a wonderful Easter weekend. Stay safe in your travels.
