If you are looking for getaway idea I’ve got a recommendation for you. We just spent 2 nights in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge owned by our friends Brenda Barton and Dan Eaves.

The decor is rustic comfortable with lots of motorcycle themed items and handmade furnishings. The area has beautiful scenery and Elephant Ears State Park is a short drive away. If you like history, the area is filled with Civil war sites and historic buildings. There’s interesting places to eat, like the Abby Kitchen in a former girl’s school. Later this month the bar behind the lodge will be opening. There are grills and a fire pit, even corn hole games.
