Do you have lots of rolls of ribbon and need ideas on ways to use it on cards other than wrapping it around layers? Try making flags to flutter behind the airplane from the Adventurous Sky stamp set.

This card starts off with a Copper Clay card base that is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/2″. Next, a 4″ x 4″ piece of the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper is adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Boho Blue cardstock. Then, before adhering to the base, a piece of Linen Thread is looped around the DSP layer to create a ‘clothes line’ for the flags to fly from.

The smallest airplane in the Adventurous Sky set is stamped and die cut on a piece of Copper Clay cardstock and adhered with dimensionals over the Linen Thread. Three 2 1/2″ pieces of pretty ribbon are looped over the Linen Thread to create the flags. A glue dot holds them closed and the ends are then snipped. The greeting is stated on half of a Keeping Tabs Die cut.

I really love the greetings that go with the Adventurous Sky stamp set!
The ribbons used on this card are all retired but I have provided links below to currently available ribbons. My whole reason to create this card was to come up with ways to use some of the ribbon that I already have on hand.
I do have to give you an update on this card. As I was working at my craft table this morning, I managed to spill my cappuccino onto my laptop, all over my work space, on my phone, and ruined this card and another one. Thankfully, my swap cards that were done and ready to mail were all in plastic protectors and didn’t get wet. As of now my laptop seems to be working fine, fingers crossed.
Here are some 3/8″ ribbons that are currently available in case you don’t have a box full already.
OMG!!! I’m so excited! Here is a sneak peek at a special starting June 5!
