Faux Torn Edge with the Charming Duck Pond

The Charming Duck Pond Bundle (stamps and dies) was used to create this fun card.

The pretty edge was created by tearing a piece of paper and taping it over a piece of white cardstock to hold it in place while using a Blending Brush to add color. Balmy Blue was added first and then the edges were brushed with Pretty Peacock. The grass and lily leaves were adde before removing the mask.

If you want to see this technique in action, watch my Charming Duck Pond Video Tutorial.

The duck is stamped with Smoky Slate ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock. Then the second stamp in this multi-stamp set was inked in Pretty Peacock to add the color to his head, back and tummy all at once. A third stamp added the color to his bill and feet. Markers were used to add the blue (Blueberry Bushel), eye (Basic Black) and neck ring (white paint pen). The Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots were added to simulate rocks at his feet.

The duck is attached with a dimensional behind his head and liquid glue behind his feet. The greeting is done with Pretty Peacock ink.
