Rather than a card to share today, I’ve got some photos that I took of my gardens this morning.

I was so excited to see these yellow Peonies bloom that I felt like Mr. Wilson in Denis the Menace. I purchased the plant last spring for way more money than I usually pay for a single plant and knew that it wouldn’t flower the first year. The blooms are just HUGE and so bright and cheerful!

This False Indigo plant came from a co-worker years ago. She did warn me that it could take over a space, so I gave it lots of room.

My Fairy Garden is something of a work in progress. This year I only added a few new Hen’s and Chicks.

We call this Weeping Pussywillow bush Cousin It. He’s a family favorite.

Irises are one of my favorite flowers. If I had more energy I would have every color available!

These dark purple beauties came from my daughter’s first grade teacher. She had the kids do a cute little Mother’s Day gift. They are still going strong after 30 years. I can see how she had so many of these to share, they grow like weeds! I love the deep purple color but do have to thin them out often.

This Fern Leaf Bleeding Heart never did fill in the spot that I planed it for but it did manage to creep out into the sidewalk.

Sweetheart (my son’s Golden Retrieve) is one of my morning chore buddies and needed to be included in a photo. Max (beagle) and Princess (cat) said they were fine not getting their pictures taken.

My old grandma flag was shredded so I got a new one this year!

These Peonies are almost done blooming. I was pleased that they held up so well with all the heavy rain that we’ve had.

This is something of an heirloom rose bush. It came from my mom. When I lived in northern Minnesota it would bloom the middle of July and I remember standing next to it for birthday photos. Here it blooms in June.

My son bought me this silly rooster pot holder years ago. I had to paint him a could of years ago, and he’s showing his age but still holding my Burro’s Tail plant and welcoming visitors.

My little duck fountain give a cheerful bubbling sound to the front yard.

The Lilies are just starting to open, they’ve sort of taken over the flower bed they are in.

This little dragon fly is from a trip to the Amana Colonies in Iowa. The Yarrow behind it had also taken over this flower bed but I dug out half of it. Now the bed looks a bit forlorn until I get some others plants growing again.

These Daisies are fighting for room from the Lilies. I’ve to get them a bit more space! I love Daisies they are just so cheerful and plain old fun.
Hope you have a wonderful day and have some time to smell the roses!
