This past Saturday I got to attend an online demonstrator event called Creativity Now. Stampin’ Up! Events are one of the reasons that I love being a demonstrator! The event was online but a group of us gathered at one home and watched together to add to the fun. We had breakfast first and after the event went out to lupper (that’s what my mom used to call it when it was too late for lunch and too early for supper, lol).
We got to make four projects with the entire group and watched a few other demonstrations. The products used are from the upcoming Holiday Catalog which will come out in September. The make and take projects used a bundle called Winterly Tree Tops.

The first card used Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to color the images AND the pearls. The other cool technique was using the Color Lifter Marker to lighten the feathers on the birds bellies.

The second card used the big frame die cut. The images on this card are colored with Watercolor Pencils.

It’s hard to see on the photo but I brushed Wink of Stella over the images to both blend the pencil lines and add sparkle.

For the third card, we used the cut out center from the frame on card two and used it as a mask. With a Blending Brush we added ink around the mask, first with heavy strokes. Next, we flipped the mask and added lighter strokes to give the background some depth.

These birds are also colored with Watercolor Pencils, but without any blending with Wink of Stella.

The final project was actually a decoration for a box, but I chose to create a card with it instead. The strip on the bottom is from the coordinating Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper. Several of the designs are of beautiful birds which can be fussy cut, or a few even match the dies.
Watch for these fun products to be available in September. If you would like to be able to join in these fun events, purchase a Starter Kit and Join my Hollywood Stamping Chicks team. If you add any of the bundles which are currently on sale to your Starter Kit, you will get the special pricing, YAY! Our next demonstrator only Event is a local one held at the Medina Entertainment Center and takes place August 4. There is also an online option for this event if you aren’t local to the Twin Cities area.

I just had to share this photo from my fun day at the Minnesota Zoo with some of my grandkids. Hope you have a great Monday to start off your week.
