The Frames & Flowers DSP is a bit different than most paper packs. There are three sheets of 12″ x 12″ paper that have pretty leafy patterns on one side and subtle patterns on the other. The other three pieces have fun die cuts! Things like wreaths, frames, and swags. This paper is great for doing quick and easy cards, almost like a kit. Order some Thick Basic White paper for card bases, an ink pad, stamp set and adhesive and you will be able to make dozens of cards.

I received the items in the photo above as a prize from my upline, Dawn Olchefski, for completing a challenge. There were enough pieces to complete three card, plus instructions for the three cards. Of course, I used the instructions as a starting point and ended up with five cards instead of three. I didn’t have the Poised Peony stamp set that Dawn used in the examples but I pulled out several different sets to use on my cards.

I pulled in a Soft Sea Foam base for this card. The other items were all in the kits. the greeting is from the Charming Duck Pond stamp set. I used a Blending Brush to edge the white greeting label and eventually decided to color the entire circle with Soft Sea Foam.

The next card, uses a frame with a pop out center that is probably meant to be thrown away, but I decided to put it back in. The center is glued flat and the frame is popped up with dimensionals. The greeting and deer are from the Grassy Grove stamp set. I angled the greeting to make it fit, but wish that I had angled it just a bit more.

There were some left over piece so I jazzed up the inside a bit.

For this card, I used the other half of the Soft Sea Foam paper for the base and cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Pretty Peacock for the next layer. The rest are all from the kit. I had a small scrap left for a portion of a flower on it and decided to use it between the large word on the greeting and the smaller words. I really like how it turned out.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for the last of the cards that I created with these Frames & Flowers Kits from Dawn.
Just a reminder to my Hollywood Stamping Chicks Team Members, you can participate in these STARS challenges too!
