The June 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit is so pretty! This kit really doesn’t need to be tweaked or stepped up, but one of the challenges that I’m working on this month was to make an alternate card using the Painted Petals Kit.
This is the card made to the kit directions. Hard to top that, right? But…the back of the card base is patterned and if you want to make twice as many cards from the kit, cut two 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers out of the base.
I added a Beige card base and a Beige die cut from the Unbounded Love Dies for the greeting. Add a little Baker’s Twine swirled under the greeting and done.
I even had a little strip from the base to add to the inside of the card.
For the piece from the front of the base, I layered it onto a Mossy Meadow base.
This label die cut is also from the Unbounded Love Dies. I cut two labels, one of Beige and one of Mossy Meadow and combined the two colors. Some Brushed Brass Butterflies and a Baker’s Twine Bow finished off the card front.
For the inside I experimented with the little lined stamp from the Painted Petals Kit. I had to stamp it three times to go across the white layer. For the first time lining it up I didn’t think it turned out too bad. Photopolymer stamps make it easier to line images up.
