Today’s card is created with pretty paper and a circle punch. It also happens to be monochromatic, done all in blues and whites. The layout comes from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, it’s in the bottom row, fourth layout in on page 22. I love these layout sketches in the catalog! It’s so easy to create a card with these ‘starting points’.

The star of this card is the pretty Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. (Although, bunnies aren’t my best friends this summer! They keep eating my plants!) This bunny is sure cute. I first adhered a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Countryside Inn paper to a Boho Blue card base, using liquid glue. I did make sure to leave the center free of glue so that when I punched the papers I could separate the Countryside Inn paper from the Boho Blue.
The circle is punched out with a 2 3/8″ Circle Punch, pushed in as far as it can go, from the open side. To place the Countryside Inn Circle on the card, I added liquid glue to the DSP, closed the card, and placed the punched out circle back through the hole to adhere to the inside of the card. I did place a Basic White layer on the inside of the card, but it’s definitely optional.

The greeting banner is placed a bit lower on my card than on the layout, and I put the bow up at the top of the circle. I’ve used some Night of Navy Linen thread that is going to be available in the Holiday Catalog in September. The greeting strip is popped up with dimensionals.
That’s the great thing about these layout sketches, they are a starting point and you can create from there.
It’s a great time to purchase some of the pretty designer series paper! There are 14 different packs that are 15% during August! Be sure to check them all out when placing your order!
