Flying By With some Tower Fun Fold Cards

Today I’ve got some Tower Fun Fold cards to share. This first one uses the Adventurous Sky Bundle. It was designed by Dawn Olchefske and I received the kit to make the card for completing a challenge event. I liked the fold so much that I had to try it with another stamp set.

I also post another similar tower card last week and promised that I would do a video showing how to make it. I’ve done a video showing both versions, Legendary Ride Tower Cards. I needed more masculine birthday cards with a motorcycle theme so I chose to do my cards with the Legendary Ride stamp set and dies.

This version, which I’ll call the large version, uses a 5 1/2″ x 10″ card base, so you will only get one card base from a sheet of cardstock. The base is scored at 4 1/4″, 5 3/4″, 7 1/4″, & 8 3/4″.

The designer series paper (Country Woods DSP here) is 1 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ for the tower and the back panel has a white piece and DSP both cut to 1 1/4″ x 5 3/8″.

The skinny tower version starts with a standard card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, so a sheet of cardstock makes two bases. Scoring for this card is 4 1/4″, 5 7/8″, 6 3/8″ & 8″. The DSP on the tower is 1 3/8″ x 5 1/4″. The Nested Essentials Dies are used to cut out the shapes behind the motorcycle.

Both version are really cool and fairly easy to make. I’d love to see what papers and stamp sets you combine to create some fun tower cards!
