Today’s challenge starts with a sketch and I went a little sideways with it, lol.

Can you see where I went with this sketch?

The Doggone Friendly stamp is a large background stamp and I had my heart set on using it today. I love doing the Triple Stamping Technique with this stamp, but for today’s card I only did two layers.
For this technique I cut two pieces of Basic White paper one 2 1/2″ x 4″ and another 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″. Then I used my Stamping & Piercing Mat, lay a piece of scrap paper over it to keep the ink off of it, stacked the two pieces of paper with the smaller one centered on the larger one and stamped the image.
Then I cut 2 pieces of the Full of Life Designer Series Paper, one to cover the entire front of the card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) and another to layer between my stamped image pieces (2 3/4″ x 4 3/8″).

I chose to color the Golden Retriever, our’s is named Sweetheart and is a very dark red, with Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend Markers. The entire layered dog piece is popped up with dimensionals.

I had some leftover pieces of the DSP so cut them down to use on the inside. The greetings are from the Beach Day stamp set and Copper Clay ink was used.

Because my pieces got a bit big, the strip on the side became bigger too, lol, it’s 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
