Happy Friday! Why is it that even though I’m retired I still like Fridays better than Mondays, lol?
As usual I’ve got some awesome cards that were created by other demonstrators. If you aren’t familiar with a ‘card swap’, it is exactly what it sounds like. I make a card and someone else makes a card, and we trade cards. It’s a great way to get new ideas and inspiration. For me, it also incites FOMO or Fear of Missing Out, because I often see a product used, that I didn’t think I needed, and now I have to have it!
Today I have two cards that both use some of the Designer Series Papers that are on sale through the end of August. Oh my gosh, how is almost the end of August already? Some of my great-nieces and nephews are already back in school!
I love the clean and fresh feel of this card and it’s an awesome, simple to reproduce layout. It would even work well with an embossed layer instead of the patterned paper. But, the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper used here is perfect for this type of layout.
The sentiment comes from the Labeled with Love set. This stamp set is unique in that it can be purchased as a bundle with either a punch or dies that cut out a label.
The sentiment is layered onto circles which are created with the 2″ & 2 3/8″ Circle Punches. I bet that Sandy chose her Labeled with Love Bundle with the Punch.
My next card is created by my friend and demonstrator team leader Dawn Olchefske, and she has used the Punch from the Labeled with Love Bundle, mentioned above, for her greeting!
This card uses the Color Blocking Technique with the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper and the greeting is from the Charming Duck Pond stamp set which is part of the suite. Two of the Dapple Dots embellishments, also part of the suite, complete the card.
