Do you ever wake up on the wrong side of the bed? That’s what my mom used to call it when I woke up grumpy and with a bad attitude. I ask myself, ‘did I have a bad dream’, ‘did I sleep poorly’? Who knows?
So it was no surprise when going for my Thursday walk with my friend Kathy and her grandson Charlie, when at our farthest point, it started to thunder. By the time we got back to our gravel road we were pretty wet, it was good to see my husband in our car waiting for us to take us the last 1/2 mile.
To try to cheer myself up (and thank my hubby) I made a batch of peanut butter cookies. I think that the two of us ate half of them, lol, I should have made a double batch.
Yesterday, while working in my stamp room, I looked out the window, which is at ground level and saw this pretty cardinal on the ground under the bird feeder. I actually was able to catch a photo of him to share with you.

I feel like he was staring right at me! So I do have a simple card to share with you today. This card was the sample for my Wednesday Mystery Stamping on my Creative Chicks Facebook Group.

The layout is CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) from page 28 of the September -December Mini Catalog. The patterned paper is from the Sentimental Christmas DSP pack. I hope that everyone buys a pack of this paper! For each pack sold Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to support children’s literacy PLUS it’s gorgeous paper. Win, Win!

I’ve paired the layout up with the Christmas Labels Bundle for the greeting, done with White Embossing Powder on Basic Black card stock.
Well, my stamping table is filled with miscellaneous stuff as I’m getting ready for my groups Hobby Day next weekend. Photos, old Christmas cards, half finished cards, card bits, letters, programs from grandkids school events… I think I’m beginning to know why I woke up grumpy, lol. My plan is to work on scrapbook pages at the event but I have to pare it down to 12 hours worth of work.
Rather than deal with it, I’m heading outside to mow lawn for the second time in less than a week. Is it still June? Who knew that extra rain would make the grass grow like a weed. We have also been infested with rabbits, do they like the rain too?
Okay, I’m done ranting and off to actually get something done. Hope you are having a good day and woke up on the right side of the bed!
