Splendid Autumn

Today’s cards focus on the beautiful colors of autumn. The pretty patterned papers come from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper Pack.

Three different patterns were chosen and were then stacked together and sliced into three portions to create a set of three cards. One layer was positioned with the ‘back’ side up (the green one).

Then the pieces were split up so that each card got one piece of each pattern. They were mounted on 4″ x 5 1/4″ mattes and then onto the card base.

The pretty die cuts and greetings are from the Autumn Expressions Bundle. To get the black frame and white center the die was used twice, once with the white paper and another run with the black.

Of course, this gave me an equal number of white frames with black centers which works great with white embossing powder for the greetings.

Or use just the label, without any frame.

Be sure to make the inside pretty too!

Pull in different colors for the base to create a different mood.

Make a bow with two pieces of twine for a multi-colored look.

The Stack and Slice Technique is a great way to create multiple cards quickly. These use three sheets of patterned paper that are 3 3/4″ x 5″ but you could use 4 sheets too.

Hope you have a sunny day, thanks for stopping by at The Roost.
