Simple Woven Christmas Card

Today’s card uses scrap strips of pretty Designer Series Paper to create a frame for a greeting.

I’ve used the Countryside Inn Designer Series paper for this card. It’s not even a Christmas themed paper but I love the way it looks with this greeting from the Christmas Labels stamp set.

The strips are about 1/2″ wide. I found that it worked best to first lay the strips out as desired, then start by adding liquid glue under the shorter strips up to the point where the weaving starts. Next, add liquid glue under the long strips up to the point where the weaving starts. Finally, glue down the woven parts.

Finish up the inside with another greeting from the Christmas Labels stamp set and another scrap strip of the DSP across the bottom.

Watch my short Woven Scraps Video Tutorial to see the card come together.
