Today I have a card created with a sketch from the #DOswts438 Challenge. I’m in full on Christmas card manufacturing mode so I chose the cute Reindeer Fun stamp set.

I’m not sure why, but I had a hard time wrapping my mind around this layout. When I finally figured it out I loved the card.

I did put layers under each of the panels because they seemed to become lost on the white background. The matts are all Shaded Spruce. The large deer is colored with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend while the baby was first given a coat of Light Copper before coloring him with the Pecan Pie. I thought about adding some of the Red & White Peppermint gems but I really like the green and white colors and was afraid that the red would be out of place.

For the inside I stamped the greeting and cute little tree in Shaded Spruce. Then I thought that the star looked too dull without being inked in yellow so I just added a few strokes of Daffodil Delight with a Stampin’ Write Marker.
