Today I’m working on a challenge to CASE one of the layouts on page 28 of the Mini catalog. I’ve already used a couple of the layouts on that page so I thought I would try a different one today.

Can you tell which layout I CASED?

I really switched it up! Instead of a tag, I made a card, and used different shapes for the tag and the greeting.

So let’s take a look at how the card was created.
- It starts with an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lost Lagoon scored at 4 1/4″. This is stamped with the single bird image from the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set.
- Next a 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Watercolor paper has the bird image stamped with VersaMark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set. The largest flag die from the Stylish Shapes Dies was used to cut the tag top as shown below.

- Then, color was added with a Water Painter Brush and Lost Lagoon ink, by squeezing the ink pad into the lid and then adding a tiny amount of water to the ink with the brush and spreading it over the entire tag.
- The greeting is also heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Pretty Peacock. It was then die cut with the heart from the Hooray for Surprises Dies.
- The greenery is die cut from gold and silver foil with the Winterly Tree Tops dies.
- A piece of Linen Thread is threaded through a hole in the top of the tag (added with a really old hole punch) and a Lost Lagoon Soft Cording Bow is adhered with a glue dot.

The inside is stamped in Lost Lagoon with images from the Winterly Tree Tops set. I just realized that I didn’t add any gems to the card, do you think it needs some?
