What an awesome weekend! I scored some great finds at the Fund Raiser for a team member’s daughter. I’ll be sharing once I’ve picked them up, and we attended a birthday party for my grandson Salem.
On Friday, our grandson Isaac came over and asked if he could make a birthday card for Salem. Boy, did he make brownie points with grandma! We had a great time picking out stamps and colors. I was a bit nervous letting him color with my Stampin’ Blends but he did an awesome job of being careful with the marker tips. I felt like a nurse handing tools to the doctor, as he called for colors he needed, lol.

He wanted the birthday number to pop up, so we put a springy thing on the back of the number. It was too big to put directly on the number so we placed the number on a layer and found an unused gold foil die cut that framed the number. The retired Jungle Pals stamp set and dies were a great match for the party theme which was jungle animals.

I love when I get to spend time with the grandkids, especially when it’s just one of them and we get one on one time. They are all such special, unique individuals.

He got all of the animals from the stamp set on the card, lol. He even indicated which cousin they each stood for.
It was so cute when Salem opened his card. I wish I had gotten a photo, but of course, I missed the shot. The two of them were poring over the card and it looked like Isaac was pointing out the meaning of certain elements to Salem. I couldn’t hear the conversation in the chaos of the party but it was super cute.
The time spent with Isaac helping him create his card is something that I will always cherish. I love sharing my love of paper crafting with someone who is so precious to me.
I hope that you get the opportunity to share your crafting with someone you love too! Thanks for stopping by the Roost and listening to this happy grandma.
