Yikes! I just had a minor panic attack! My Christmas cards are no where near done, I don’t have my house cleaned for Thanksgiving yet, I’m not done Christmas shopping and then I realized that I hadn’t planned and posted a supply list for the Wednesday Facebook Mystery Card Game on the Creative Chicks FB Group. I then looked at my calendar and realized that I don’t have a Mystery Card Game this week because I have a Thanksgiving Feast to attend at my granddaughter Lilly’s preschool. Yay!
So last night I finally pulled out my October Nests of Christmas Paper Pumpkin Kit and WOW! I first made two cards exactly to the directions.

They are beautiful try-fold cards with foil accents. I really, really like the layer with the foiled evergreen boughs and wanted to bring it front and center so for my next card…

I cut the frame layer off and made this card.

Then with the left over frame piece, I used a Basic White Thick base and adhered a layer of the Winter’s Meadow Designer Paper. Next, the frame was glued over the DSP. The cardinal was stamped with the kit stamps and colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. The greeting label was placed in the bottom left corner with the cardinal popped up on top of it. I was happy with the card when I went to bed last night, just like that, but when I saw it again this morning it needed more, lol.
So, I added a greeting from the Peaceful Season stamp set, stamped directly on the DSP with Night of Navy ink, a pine bough stamped with Shaded Spruce and three rhinestones. Now it looks more balanced.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m off to do some house cleaning.
