Today’s card is a winter themed thank you card inspired by the Card Concept Challenge.

I’ve got my Christmas cards all done, so I decided to create a thank you card with the inspiration. I was really intrigued with this challenge. So much so that I spent most of a morning creating two cards when I SHOULD have been wrapping Christmas presents, lol.

When I used to have grape vines I would save the trimmings and make wreaths but I only ever dreamed of making one as pretty as this.

The heart shaped wreath is part of a bundle that will be available for Free with a $120 purchase during Sale-a-bration, Jan 7 – February 28. The swag is from the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle and is colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. It started out on basic white paper but the card matte and base are vanilla so I ended up coloring in the entire background as well as the image. Everything done in Cherry Cobble was given a coat of Wink of Stella for some shimmer. The bow is from a really old die set called Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies. The jingle bell is from the Reindeer Fun Dies and the berry bunches are actually from the Nests of Winter Paper Pumpkin set and were fussy cut.

The inside of the card was finished off with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of the Perennial Lavender Designer Paper with a 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla to write on.
I think I would call the style of this card Clean and Layered, per the style description on the Card Concept site.
- clean lines
- lots of layers
- designer papers/embossing
- embellishments/accents
- clean and fresh looking
- some coloured images at times
- white space
I hope that you have enjoyed this card. Be sure to check out all the other entries at the Card Concept. Tomorrow is Swap Card Friday, but check back on Monday for the second card created using this Challenge for inspiration.
