Happy Monday! I’m writing today today from my co-pilot seat in our truck. This morning I lay in bed, in our 5th wheel camper, thinking about how old I’ve gotten. Not in years as much as mentally, lol, although the years are getting up there too.
I used to love road trips. I love seeing all the beautiful scenery that we are so lucky to have in our country. I’ve been fighting a migraine for the entire trip and have spent much of the time sleeping. My poor husband has my snoring and Max’s (beagle) to listen to for company. I found myself thinking that my favorite activity now seems to be laying on the couch watching old TV shows. What happened to the adventurous young woman who loved to travel and hiking and enjoy nature? Is she still in here somewhere?
We just passed another broken down car on the freeway. I don’t remember seeing so many stalled cars along the road since I was a child. Do you suppose it’s because people don’t have the money to up keep their vehicles anymore? My husband thought maybe it’s just because there are so many more cars on the road. I’ll just pray that ours doesn’t become on of them.
One thing I will have to say, the people we have met along the way have been friendly. That’s one thing that helps keep me positive. If you have a chance to smile at someone and say hello, do so. It’s amazing how much difference a smile and friendly greeting from a stranger can have for someone’s day!
I promise I will have a card to share with you tomorrow. If you don’t already follow my YouTube Channel, be sure to check it out. My 12 Days of Christmas gift box videos are posting daily as well as many videos with creative ideas for cards.
