Today I’ve got a couple of cards created using the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle.
There is a large butterfly die that will cut out a note card. It’s 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
I’m not sure why, but there aren’t stamps to decorate the large butterfly and the head of the large butterfly doesn’t match up with the die cut butterfly used on this card. I watched a video by Cindy at CindyLeeBee Designs and she suggested cutting off the large butterfly’s head, and that definitely helped. By adding a strip on the bottom of the butterfly the card will stand.
The silver butterfly die cut had a really tiny body so I die cut the separate body and added it under the butterfly. This card has both heads. I’ve colored the butterfly body under it with a black colored pencil. The bottom wings were stamped with two stamps that are included in the stamp set but to create the top wings one of the large images was partially inked and stamped.
Overall this is an okay set. The matching embossing folder, used on the blue card, makes a really nice embossed butterfly. I was disappointed in the stamp options for the large butterfly die cut though. I do look forward to seeing what other creative demonstrators come up with for using this set.
