Today I’ve created a card that can be hung on a bulletin board or fridge from a string. The base is created from a 12″ x 12″ piece of cardstock. It’s my first effort and I plan on creating another for my Wednesday video, perhaps using 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock for the base, so stay tuned! The Peekaboo Forest stamp set and dies are perfect for us Critter Lovers!

When folded it will fit into a standard envelope for 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ cards. The base is scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 3/4″. Here are the Basic White paper dimensions: 5 1/4″ x 4″, 3″ x 4″ & 2 1/2″ x 4″.

The animals are all stamped on Basic White and colored with Stampin’ blend Markers. When the animals are die cut they have a little tab on the bottom to attach to the back of the die cut tree holes. Because I didn’t die cut the tree, I cut a slot in the tree hole with an exacto knife to insert the tab for both the porcupine and the bear. One the raccoon I forgot and adhered the tree layer down before cutting the slot, so just trimmer the bottom of the raccoon to match the tree hole. Both methods worked.
My tree branches look a bit wonky, lol. I think they would work better if die cut. They only angle down if stamped on the right and up if stamped on the left. I’m not sure how I ended up putting three in a row.

To cover up the ribbon ends and the hanging loop, and also to give a spot to write a personal greeting, a 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White was added on the top flap. The twine was cut a bit long and double strips of Stampin’ Seal+ were run along to top to hold it. I looped the ends back up and into the tape a second time. Then I ran a strip of Stampin’ Seal+ along the whole top edge when adding the Basic White layer over it. The sending a handmade hug greeting comes from the Crafting With You stamp set.

The happy birthday greeting is from the Keeping Tabs stamp set.
