OnStage Convention Wrap Up

Wow! It’s always fun to join a group of a couple thousand creative people who all love to stamp. This year only one member of the group that I usually hang with was attending and her husband was traveling with her so I found another demonstrator who was also traveling alone to room with. We had never met before so were both a bit apprehensive.

My trip started off with horrendous traffic on the way to the airport in Orlando. I truly thought that I was going to miss my flight! Luckily the screening line was super short (less than 10 minutes!) so I made it.

The flight went super smooth. After all the recent airplane crashes, that was a relief. My flip flop broke though as I walked off the plane and I had to shuffle to the baggage area.

I called Tammy and we talked our way to meeting at the arrivals pick up. It was so awesome of her to pick me up at the airport! I knew as soon as I saw all of her bags with Dachshund motifs that we were going to get along just fine!

We had a good laugh over not being able to understand the restaurant menus. We ended up both having a poached egg over some kind of homemade cheese with toast points, hold all the spicy sauces, lol. It did taste good, even if it was $12 for 1 egg.

Neither one of us was up to sitting at the door and running in to get seats in the front so we ended up towards the middle. My fellow demonstrator Jan Carlson would be appalled, but without her determination I wasn’t going to be sitting in the front, lol.

While we were waiting, in comfy chairs down the hall from the ballroom, we met Joanne from Colorado, who was also alone. So we became a group of 4! Left to right are Joanne Randolph, Susan Burch, me, and Tammy Folaron. We did tend to get separated every time we went to lunch, lol. It was 3 floors and 4 escalator rides down with a crowd of a couple thousand.

I got to walk across the stage to celebrate advancing to Silver Elite in the 2023-2024 year. I felt like a party crasher because I didn’t maintain the title this year but my demonstrator friends all told me that I earned it and should enjoy celebrating.

I won this floral stamp set for Prize Patrol. Of course the other two Prize Patrol gifts were my favorites from the new catalog. One even had a dog! If you know me, you know I’ll be purchasing that one! I do love gardening though so I’ve already ordered the die set to go with this stamp set. There is a second stamp set that goes with this suite as well, but as of right now, I’m not planning on purchasing it.

I’ve already ordered this set! How could a Robyn not order a bird set?

We all got the Layered Thoughts stamp set for creating Make & Takes along with a Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack.

Our bag this year and a clip board with a nice pen. The bag even had an extra set of handles in black.

We all said farewell on Saturday evening, Tammy dropped me off at the airport and I had an uneventful flight home. Some of my fellow demonstrators weren’t as lucky though, with flight delays because of the storms.

With a 2 AM bedtime, I wasn’t sure about attending my scheduled Fast Track tournament yesterday. I warned my partner that my brain was still half asleep. To my amazement, we won! Maybe I do better when not thinking, lol.

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by The Roost.
