Stippled Roses Easel Card

Today’s card uses the Full of Life Designer Paper to make beautiful Stippled Roses in a hurry. No coloring needed!

The roses are stamped on the ‘back’ side of one of the Full of Life DSP designer paper patterns, while the edge strips are one of the ‘front’ sides of the designs.

This card layout looks complicated but is really simple to create. A standard 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base which has been scored at 4 1/4″ only needs 2 extra cuts to make the flaps and 1 extra score line to make the easel pop up.

It folds flat for mailing. This card was inspired by one that I received as a swap from Karen Titus, which I shared here last Friday.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
    • Cut at 1 1/4″ from the score line to the bottom on each side to create 2 narrow flaps
    • Score the center, wide flap at 2 1/8″
  • Basic White 2 3/4″ x 4″ cut 2 pieces
  • Designer paper strips 1″ (or 3/4″) x 4″
  • Full of Life DSP 3″ x 6″ for stamping the flowers
  • White scrap for stamping and die cutting the easel holder

Here is another version of the card that we made in class. This one uses a different pattern of the DSP for the flowers and words from a soon to be available stamp set named The Right Words.

You can watch my Easel Card Fun Fold Video Tutorial to see how easy it is to make this card layout.
