Easter Cards

With Easter only a couple of weeks away I thought I would share some of the Easter cards that I’ve made.

The first card features the Storybook Moments Suite. I love the Storybook Moments DSP! Even better this paper is carrying over into the new Annual Catalog, YAY! A fun feature of this card is that when opened the back side of the DSP shows. To create this card here are the paper dimensions:

  • Base Basic White Thick 6″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Storybook Moments DSP 3″ x 5 1/2″
  • Timeless Plaid 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Basic Beige 2 1/4″ x 1″ for label

Fold the card base on the score line. Adhere the Storybook Moments DSP to the inside of the card base on the small flap. Be sure to line the edge up with the back edge of the card base. Add the Plaid DSP to the narrow white front, stamp the greeting and die cut as desired and pop on with dimensionals.

The second card features the Twisted in Time stamp set. I LOVE this tree! The cool frame die cut and greeting banner are from the Twisted in Time Die set. The card has a Thick Basic White base which has been covered with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of designer paper from the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper pack which was one of the free items during the Sale-A-Bration Event.

This final card, uses a stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin Kit (I love my Paper Pumpkin stamp library!). The center orange paper is another piece from the Fruit Salad DSP and the beautiful Tulips are from the long retired Flowering Fields DSP.

To make the folded center, start with a 4″ square. Mark the very center of the square with a dot, then fold the corner tips in to all meet at the dot. Next, fold the tips out to the first fold. You can glue the fold down, or leave loose like in the pictured card.

Hope you have enjoyed these Easter card ideas. I need to get mine in the mail! I’m great at making cards but not so great at addressing the envelopes and actually mailing them, lol. How about you?

Have a wonderful day and I challenge you to mail out 3 cards today. Let me know if you meet the challenge.
