With a name like mine, I just have to love birds! The Feathered Fun stamp set was a must have for me. As a child I had a blue parakeet so I had to make a blue one, but I couldn’t stop there. The set also includes some cute sparrows and a set of snuggling cardinals.

These cards feature a fun swinging circle that is visible on both the front of the card when closed and on the inside when open.

The Feathered Fun stamp set is a reversible set. Use the ‘front’ side of the stamp to create an outline, and the ‘back’ side of the stamp to fill in the outline. The birds that are facing opposite directions can be swapped to fill in the outlines of the opposite one.

To leave the beak area uninked when adding the blue backside stamping, I used a QTip to remove the ink from the beak area and then colored the beak in with a marker.

Or, if you prefer to color the image, used Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the entire bird.
