Poppin’ In with Peekaboo Forest

Hello! It’s time for another STARS monthly Challenge. Today I’m combining the super cute Peekaboo Forest stamp set with a greeting from the Poppin’ By stamp set.

I wanted to make a very simple card using just the stamp set first. I debated coloring in the images or parts of the images but decided to leave it uncolored to show you how simple card making can be. This card uses only 2 ink colors and 2 paper colors.

The tall tree was created by stamping the base once and the trunk extender stamp three more times. If you look closely you can see where I didn’t get the lines perfectly aligned, lol, you can probably do better.

The challenge sketch shows flowers but, although I love flowers too, I decided to switch it up and use the critters.

Can you see the sketch layout on my card?

I decided to create a second card exactly the same but using the dies. This card has an added ink color plus 5 additional paper colors.

If you are just starting out stamping, don’t be overwhelmed by all the equipment and supplies. Start simple with paper, ink and a stamp set. The love that you put into the card will show.

Another great way to get started is by subscribing to Paper Pumpkin. Each month’s kit includes an ink pad and a stamp set so once you have completed the kit your stamp library will continue to grow.
