Happy Friday! Today I have a fun fold created by Terry Betlewski using the Year of Flowers stamp set.

The card has a unique latch and a front that has been shortened. I love the fun fold design but the Basic Beige and Basic White colors were a bit dull for my taste so I had to try it with some brighter colors. The gems on Terry’s card have a pink tone, so I’m not sure if she colored them with a Stampin’ Blend Marker or used some colored gems.

I chose to use blues with a pop of color from the Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper. The Cloud Cover card base is 4 1/4″ x 8 3/4″ scored at 5 1/2″. I’ve made my white layer on the card front 3″ x 4 1/8″. Terry’s was about 1/8″ larger each way. The DSP layer is 2 3/4″ x 3 7/8″, while Terry’s is 3″ x 4″. So you can see that it’s easy to tweak the paper sizes.

The focal image on both cards is a 2 1/8″ circle die cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies, layered onto a 2 3/4″ die cut square also from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The base layer for the focal image is a 3″ square. I’ve combined the Secret Sea In Color with Misty Moonlight, I really like this color combo!

The inside of Terry’s card is a bit fancier than mine. She has a layer of the Need For Tweed Designer Series Paper and then a white greeting area. The latch on Terry’s card is also a bit fancier. She cut each triangle separately while I layered the squares and then cut the square diagonally. We both started with a 2″ base.

I hope that these cards give you some inspiration. Use the layout, the colors, the stamping, whatever stirs your imagination and then create your very own design. I’d love to see what colors you create with!
