Split Triangle Card

I have been seeing so many cards created with squares or rectangles cut diagonally and used to create a background. I was super happy to participate in a Mystery Stamping Challenge with my DOstamperSTARS team so I got a change to play with one of the techniques.

The card features the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper and Cheers & Sips Bundle. I might have chosen a different pattern for the main image if I had known what we were going to do with it, lol. It is a bit busy. The greeting label is a die cut from the Perennial Post Die set (love that set!). The flower sprigs and cherry are die cuts from the Cheers & Sips Dies.

The triangles on this card started out as a 3″ x 4″ piece of the designer paper and then we cut it diagonally. The center designer paper is 2 3/4″ x 4″ with a 3″ x 4 1/4″ matte in the same color as the base (Strawberry Slush on this card).

Hope you are inspired to create this layout in YOUR chosen papers.

Have a great week!
