This week is One Sheet Wonder Week here at the Roost. Today’s cards feature the 2025-2027 In Color Designer Series Paper (6″ x 6″ size). Each card showcases both sides of the Strawberry Slush colored Designer Series Paper. I snagged mine at 15% off during the sale which ended yesterday. This pattern comes from Bridgett Aitchison’s Flip It One Sheet Wonder Video Tutorial. She has a really good template for cutting both the patterned paper and the matte layers.

All of the cards start with a Secret Sea card base that is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 14″. A Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer has been embossed with an embossing folder (different on each card). The matte layers are all Balmy Blue.

The card above uses the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder, Gathering Moments Bundle (new Online Exclusive Sept 3) , Iridescent Pearls which have been colored with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Marker.

The circle is cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

All of the images are stamped with Secret Sea ink.

This card has a greeting label created with the Arches Dies and again the Gathering Moments Bundle was used with Secret Sea ink. The Plaid Embossing Folder was used for the white layer. This card also has Iridescent Pearls colored with Poppy Parade. A strip of the 2025-2027 In Color DSP in Secret Sea was layered across the card front. The 2025-2027 In Color DSP has all five In Colors, Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, and Darling Duckling.

This card uses the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder with a greeting and matte made with the Party Banner Dies. This greeting comes from the Amber Autumn stamp set, part of the Autumn Toile Suite from the September to December Mini Catalog. Braided Petal Pink Trim is adhered with a strip of Tear and Tape. This trim is a bit too thick to wrap under the paper layer. Again the Iridescent Pearls are colored with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Markers.

The final card has a square of the Designer Paper which is cut diagonally and then one piece is flipped so that both sides show. The Birch Embossing Folder is used on this one with the labels all cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The stamping is all from The Right Words stamp set and Gathering Moments Bundle.

Did you ever wonder what Labor Day celebrates beside the end of summer and kids going back to school? I had to look it up, lol. On June 28, 1894 Congress passed an act which made it an official National Holiday on the first Monday each September. Before that many states celebrated the day, but not nation wide. It celebrates the social and economic achievements of the American workers and the labor movement.
