Swap Card Friday – On Saturday, lol!

Okay, I’m a day behind, it’s been that way all week. Tomorrow I get a new week to start on!

Today I have two gorgeous cards which follow the theme of my post from yesterday, with beautiful fall colors.

The first card from Janine Pohlmann uses the maple leaf die from the Gathering Moments set. Here you can see the holes without any stitching. So it works well both ways. She has it teamed up with the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper and the Cajun Craze & Gold Dots, with a double white Baker’s Twine bow.

There are two narrow strips of the Earthen Toned Metallic Paper behind the leaf. (1/4″ & 1/8″).

The greeting is from the Artistic Leaves stamp set. Inside is one of the pretty Artistic Leaves images.

The next card, created by Kathleen Chapman, features the Amber Autumn Bundle. The pretty leaf die cut on the front is cut on a piece of Cajun Craze paper that is 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ to perfectly cover the front of the Pumpkin Pie card base.

The greeting is done on Basic Beige paper with an offset matte of Early Espresso. The Early Espresso circle under the pumpkins has been cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. Another double bow of Linen Thread adorns this card. (Double Bows must be in!)

Three of the Low Profile Sparkle Dots in yellow add even more shine to the card. But let’s take a closer look at the main image…

Wow! This piece is gorgeous! It has been heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and I think watercolored. It definitely hasn’t been colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers because when I peeked underneath there is no bleed through. It also has a softer, muted tone than the markers.

Inside Kathleen has stamped the pumpkin image again using Pumpkin Pie ink and let it run off the corner. I love both of these cards!

I hope that you have a wonderful Saturday! I’m off to join some friends (yes they are stampers) at an outdoor craft show.
